My TB Test

The two step TB Test is required for my placement (OJT). To be considered clear of the virus, the result should be from 0-9mm bump.

First step: October 17; reading: October 19; left arm
Result: 5mm bump (not good-chances of having a latent(not active) TB)

Second step: October 31; reading: November 2; right arm
Result: 14mm bump (positive TB; chest x-ray needed to confirm condition)

My x-ray result will be released in two days max. Dr. Rajesan will call asap if immediate action should be taken.

Not to worry because it is not infectious. The doctor just needs to know if it has a chance to get serious. I'll still be able to do the placement. :)

I thank God that my family and friends were there and they cared a lot. I also thank Him that it's nothing serious. And because of this, I remembered when I was working for Public Outreach-a fundraising organization for the Because I Am A Girl Campaign. We were in downtown Hamilton that time and are trying to stop people to talk to us.
Me: (talking to a male in his 30s) Hello! How's your day?
Guy: (while passing by) Great! I just found out I have a deadly cancer!
Me: :|

It is sad to know that, every day, people are discovering that they are sick. Mine's not as bad as his. It amazed me to remember that he still has the strength to smile.

So just smile and cherish every moment with loved ones, everyone!
